Sounds: Live recording of a scored work by Danny Clay, performed by the 175-member San Francisco Girls Chorus and recorded live in the lobby of War Memorial theater in San Francisco. For this composition, girls were split into four groups to sing one sustained chord for the duration of the performance. The score instructs performers to roam the lobby and meander between the audience, spontaneously joining into groups of three to create temporary sound blossoms, which are audible throughout the recording.
