Did you know this smell existed?
The Rock Rose is a small family of shrubs that is the only known source of the enigmatic Labdanum resin. The scent of Labdanum is considered by some perfumers as among of the hardest to describe in words. Traditionally, this resin was collected by combing it out of the beards of grazing goats. Distributed in areas with temperate Mediterranean climates, Rock Rose plants can be found throughout the Bay Area.
